Concorde has been in existence for over twenty years with some of the founding members still actively involved with the club. Our club first started flying on the Uley Road high School grounds, and as you can imagine we soon out grew this environment. We moved around a bit but housing development kept us on the run. We obtained permission to use some graving land from a farmer who's property boundary was on Covenrty Road at Smithfield. This idyllic lifestyle continued for a few years until the landlord, owing to ill health sold his lease to another farmer who changed from sheep to crops, exit one flying field.
A new flying field is now on Tenby Road, About 4 kms north of Two Wells, Prior to this we were located on Gawler River Road just up from Angle Vale. As you can imagine from our history, finding suitable flying fields that are not too far away is a very real problem for most model flying clubs in Australia, and the world.
